Grand Opening to Bring Fredericksburg Residents Best Wings USA and 22 Sauce Varieties
FREDERICKSBURG, VA. – Nov. 19, 2010 – The award-winning national restaurant chain known as Quaker Steak & Lube® will bring nearly 200 jobs to Fredericksburg and will celebrate its ribbon cutting ceremony with a VIP pre-grand opening event for special guests, area dignitaries and media on Nov. 29 from 6 - 10 p.m. The public grand opening celebration will take place on Dec.1 as the Fredericksburg store is the third Quaker Steak & Lube restaurant in Virginia.
Fredericksburg residents will be introduced to the motorsports-themed chain that is known for its Best Wings USA and 22 sauce varieties. The restaurant will feature a new 8,100 square-foot store design that accommodates indoor and outdoor patio seating for more than 400 people. There will be a bar area for guests and also a game room near the front of the restaurant. The unique interior décor includes a Ricky Rudd Tide car hanging in the lobby and a Jimmy Johnson No. 48 car in Thunder Alley. Also displayed throughout the building will be motorcycles as provided by Richmond Harley-Davidson and Fredericksburg Motor Sports as well as a 1979 Red Stingray Pro Street Hot Rod in the Vette Room. In the Brickyard Patio will be a Chevy Camaro courtesy of Radley Automotive Group.
“We are excited to put the finishing touches on the restaurant in preparation for our December 1 Grand Opening,” said Kurt Reyburn, general manager at Quaker Steak & Lube®. “We’re bringing new jobs to the area and look forward to connecting with new customers and building a Quaker Steak & Lube fan base in the Fredericksburg area.”
The Lube will feature appetizing menu selections and will hold super-charged events all week including All-You-Can-Eat Wings every Tuesday, Bike Nite on Wednesdays during the summer, Ladies Night and $0.50 Boneless Wings on Thursday, karaoke on Friday nights and Cruise-Ins every Sunday afternoon. Today, The Lube® has won more than 100 national and international awards for their wings and sauces. Most recently, Quaker Steak & Lube® was voted Festival Favorite at the 2010 National Buffalo Wing Festival.
A portion of the bar sales earned at the VIP grand opening event will be donated to a local Fredericksburg food bank.
