JUST IN TIME FOR THE SUPER BOWL NATIONAL RESTAURANT CHAIN QUAKER STEAK & LUBE® ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF COOP ROCKS THE END ZONE VIDEO CONTEST
User-Generated Video Challenge Earns More than 15,000 YouTube Views and Thousands of Votes
SHARON, Pa. – February 4, 2011 – As football fans everywhere prepare for the Big Game, Quaker Steak & Lube®, the motorsports-themed casual-dining family restaurant best known for its chicken wings and 25 specialty sauces and flavors announced today the winners of its Coop Rocks the End Zone video contest. And one lucky football fan walked away with the ultimate prize package for the stay-at-home fan!
After thousands of votes were tallied, the top three videos were announced on the Official Quaker Steak & Lube Facebook Fan Page. Walter Arnett of Lexington, Ky. won the grand prize of a 55” LCD TV, a PlayStation 3, Madden 2011 and free wings for a year for his “End Zone Celebration” video that featured Walter performing a variety of amusing celebratory dance moves in an end zone after eating Quaker Steak & Lube. The second place prize of a $250 gift card to The Lube® was awarded to John Woll of Loveland, Ohio for his “Touchdown Turnaround” video and the third place prize of a $100 gift card was awarded to Tonia Collins of Fort Mill, S.C. for her “The Chicken Jerk” entry.

The Quaker Steak & Lube® Coop Rocks the End Zone contest began in September and asked users to create and upload a 30-second video that showcased their best dance moves in celebration of the football season. The Top 10 Finalists were selected by an esteemed panel of Quaker Steak & Lube® judges and the winning videos were voted on by the public and announced on Facebook January 21.
